Begin Discipleship!
The year 2020 began uneventfully. Christians from around the globe were feeling hopefully prophetic so they created a slogan dubbing it The Year of the Bible. They didn't exactly know what was in store, but God certainly did! They may have had a feeling of hope for the better, but it was already in God's omniscient mind all the earth shattering changes that were coming. The CORONAvirus pandemic of 2020 was suddenly upon us, and it would sweep the world with fear! As the masses hunkered down in their homes, closed the shutters, and battened down the hatches, we were suddenly alone with our families ...and our Creator. We were away from work, school, friends, and endless distractions. We were now isolated from all the hustle and bustle in our lives. You see, God was trying to get our attention! CORONA means CROWN. The LORD of Lords and KING of Kings is Omnipotent, Omniscient, and Omnipresent. He is beckoning for us to LOOK UP. He is saying to us, Lay down ALL your cares of this life, and Seek My Face. I AM the Triumphant King of the Universe! I have conquered fear and death! NEVER FEAR!
Many claim they want to know the truth, because they've heard someone quote the Bible saying "the truth shall make you FREE." Yet the truth still eludes them to this day. WHY?

SPIRITUAL REALITY takes Priority
Matthew 6:31, 33
Therefore take no thought, saying, What shall we eat? or, What shall we drink? or, Wherewithal shall we be clothed? ... But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.
Philippians 4:11-13
Not that I speak in respect of want: for I have learned, in whatsoever state I am, therewith to be content. I know both how to be abased, and I know how to abound: every where and in all things I am instructed both to be full and to be hungry, both to abound and to suffer need. I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me.
2 Corinthians 4:18
While we look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen: for the things which are seen are temporal; but the things which are not seen are eternal.
Psalm 90:2, 12
Before the mountains were brought forth, or ever thou hadst formed the earth and the world, even from everlasting to everlasting, thou art God. ... So teach us to number our days, that we may apply our hearts unto wisdom.
The preeminent Spiritual realm generated the Physical realm.
Genesis 1:1
In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth.
Nehemiah 9:6
Thou, even thou, art LORD alone; thou hast made heaven, the heaven of heavens, with all their host, the earth, and all things that are therein, the seas, and all that is therein, and thou preservest them all; and the host of heaven worshippeth thee.
Hebrews 11:3
Through faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the word of God, so that things which are seen were not made of things which do appear.
Colossians 1:17
And he is before all things, and by him all things consist.
The physical realm is intended to REVEAL the Spiritual Realm.
John 1:1-4
In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. The same was in the beginning with God. All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made. In him was life; and the life was the light of men.
Psalm 19:1-3
The heavens declare the glory of God; and the firmament sheweth his handywork. Day unto day uttereth speech, and night unto night sheweth knowledge. There is no speech nor language, where their voice is not heard.
Romans 1:16-20
For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek. For therein is the righteousness of God revealed from faith to faith: as it is written, The just shall live by faith. For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who hold the truth in unrighteousness; Because that which may be known of God is manifest in them; for God hath shewed it unto them. For the invisible things of him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even his eternal power and Godhead; so that they are without excuse.
God's Characteristics are the Foundation of Everything.
Proverbs 3:19
The LORD by wisdom hath founded the earth; by understanding hath he established the heavens.
Jeremiah 51:15
He hath made the earth by his power, he hath established the world by his wisdom, and hath stretched out the heaven by his understanding.
God's attributes describe Him and His abilities.
SPIRIT:
John 4:24
God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth.
1 Timothy 1:17
Now unto the King eternal, immortal, invisible, the only wise God, be honour and glory for ever and ever.
God's attributes describe Him and His abilities.
EVERLASTING:
Isaiah 57:15
For thus saith the high and lofty One that inhabiteth eternity, whose name is Holy; I dwell in the high and holy place, with him also that is of a contrite and humble spirit, to revive the spirit of the humble, and to revive the heart of the contrite ones.
Psalm 90:2
Before the mountains were brought forth, or ever thou hadst formed the earth and the world, even from everlasting to everlasting, thou art God.
Hebrews 1:10-12
And, Thou, Lord, in the beginning hast laid the foundation of the earth; and the heavens are the works of thine hands: They shall perish; but thou remainest; and they all shall wax old as doth a garment; And as a vesture shalt thou fold them up, and they shall be changed: but thou art the same, and thy years shall not fail.
God's attributes describe Him and His abilities.
OMNIPOTENT:
Revelation 19:6
And I heard as it were the voice of a great multitude, and as the voice of many waters, and as the voice of mighty thunderings, saying, Alleluia: for the Lord God omnipotent reigneth.
Genensis 17:1
And when Abram was ninety years old and nine, the LORD appeared to Abram, and said unto him, I am the Almighty God; walk before me, and be thou perfect.
God's attributes describe Him and His abilities.
OMNISCIENT:
Psalm 147:5
Great is our Lord, and of great power: his understanding is infinite.
Luke 12:7a
But even the very hairs of your head are all numbered.
Isaiah 46:9-10
Remember the former things of old: for I am God, and there is none else; I am God, and there is none like me, Declaring the end from the beginning, and from ancient times the things that are not yet done, saying, My counsel shall stand, and I will do all my pleasure:
God's attributes describe Him and His abiliities.
Jeremiah 23:23-24
Am I a God at hand, saith the LORD, and not a God afar off? Can any hide himself in secret places that I shall not see him? saith the LORD. Do not I fill heaven and earth? saith the LORD.
1 Kings 8:27
But will God indeed dwell on the earth? behold, the heaven and heaven of heavens cannot contain thee;
Psalm 139:7-10
Whither shall I go from thy spirit? or whither shall I flee from thy presence? If I ascend up into heaven, thou art there: if I make my bed in hell, behold, thou art there. If I take the wings of the morning, and dwell in the uttermost parts of the sea; Even there shall thy hand lead me, and thy right hand shall hold me.
God's Nature determines what He does.
His nature is revealed in what He delights in:
Love
Justice
Righteousness
Jeremiah 9:24
But let him that glorieth glory in this, that he understandeth and knoweth me, that I am the LORD which exercise lovingkindness, judgment, and righteousness, in the earth: for in these things I delight, saith the LORD.
God is Unchanging...
He is IMMUTABLE:
Malachi 3:6
For I am the LORD, I change not; therefore ye sons of Jacob are not consumed.
Righteousness is a Quality of GOD.
Daniel 9:7
O Lord, righteousness belongeth unto thee, but unto us confusion of faces, as at this day; to the men of Judah, and to the inhabitants of Jerusalem, and unto all Israel, that are near, and that are far off, through all the countries whither thou hast driven them, because of their trespass that they have trespassed against thee.
Romans 9:14
What shall we say then? Is there unrighteousness with God?
God forbid.
GOD's Righteousness is INFINITE!
Psalm 145:17
The LORD is righteous in all his ways, and holy in all his works.
Psalm 119:142
Thy righteousness is an everlasting righteousness, and thy law is the truth.
GOD's will and His righteousness are revealed in his commandments:
Psalm 119:172
My tongue shall speak of thy word: for all thy commandments are righteousness.
Obedience to commandments reflects righteousness:
Deuteronomy 6:25
And it shall be our righteousness, if we observe to do all these commandments before the LORD our God, as he hath commanded us.
Obedience must come from the heart:
1 Samuel 16:7
But the LORD said unto Samuel, Look not on his countenance, or on the height of his stature; because I have refused him: for the LORD seeth not as man seeth; for man looketh on the outward appearance, but the LORD looketh on the heart.
Matthew 5:28
But I say unto you, That whosoever looketh on a woman to lust after her hath committed adultery with her already in his heart.
Righteousness is complete conformance to God's will.
Can you name one natural man who has NEVER sinned?
ONLY GOD has done God's Perfect Will!
GOD delights in Justice:
Proverbs 11:1
A false balance is abomination to the LORD: but a just weight is his delight.
GOD's justice is Infinite:
Deuteronomy 32:4
He is the Rock, his work is perfect: for all his ways are judgment: a God of truth and without iniquity, just and right is he.
Justice requires punishment equal to the crime:
Leviticus 24:20-21
Breach for breach, eye for eye, tooth for tooth: as he hath caused a blemish in a man, so shall it be done to him again. And he that killeth a beast, he shall restore it: and he that killeth a man, he shall be put to death.
AGAPE LOVE is the dominant quality of God's nature:
1 John 4:8
He that loveth not knoweth not God; for God IS love.
An extended definition of GOD's AGAPE LOVE:
The Highest Unchanging Ultimate LOVE, benefiting the 0bject of that Love at GREAT COST to the GIVER.
1 Cor. 13:4-7
Charity suffereth long, and is kind; charity envieth not; charity vaunteth not itself, is not puffed up, Doth not behave itself unseemly, seeketh not her own, is not easily provoked, thinketh no evil; Rejoiceth not in iniquity, but rejoiceth in the truth; Beareth All things, believeth All things, hopeth All things, endureth ALL things.
A demonstration of GOD's LOVE:
Romans 5:8
But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ DIED for us.
Love determines the requirements of righteousness:
Matthew 22:36-40
Master, which is the great commandment in the law? Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind. This is the first and great commandment. And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. On these two commandments hang all the law and the prophets.
Romans 13:8-10
Owe no man any thing, but to love one another: for he that loveth another hath fulfilled the law. For this, Thou shalt not commit adultery, Thou shalt not kill, Thou shalt not steal, Thou shalt not bear false witness, Thou shalt not covet; and if there be any other commandment, it is briefly comprehended in this saying, namely, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. Love worketh no ill to his neighbour: therefore love is the fulfilling of the law.
GOD will only operate within His nature:
Romans 9:14
What shall we say then? Is there unrighteousness with God? God forbid.
Job 34:12
Yea, surely God will not do wickedly, neither will the Almighty pervert judgment.
Titus 1:2
In hope of eternal life, which God, that cannot lie, promised before the world began;
Hebrews 6:18
That by two immutable things, in which it was impossible for God to lie, we might have a strong consolation, who have fled for refuge to lay hold upon the hope set before us:
God can only fellowship with righteous beings:
Deuteronomy 27:26
Cursed be he that confirmeth not all the words of this law to do them...
Romans 2:6-16
Who will render to every man according to his deeds: To them who by patient continuance in well doing seek for glory and honour and immortality, eternal life: But unto them that are contentious, and do not obey the truth, but obey unrighteousness, indignation and wrath, Tribulation and anguish, upon every soul of man that doeth evil, of the Jew first, and also of the Gentile; But glory, honour, and peace, to every man that worketh good, to the Jew first, and also to the Gentile: For there is no respect of persons with God. For as many as have sinned without law shall also perish without law: and as many as have sinned in the law shall be judged by the law; ...In the day when God shall judge the secrets of men by Jesus Christ according to my gospel.
Matthew 5:17-20
Think not that I am come to destroy the law, or the prophets: I am not come to destroy, but to fulfil. For verily I say unto you, Till heaven and earth pass, one jot or one tittle shall in no wise pass from the law, till all be fulfilled. Whosoever therefore shall break one of these least commandments, and shall teach men so, he shall be called the least in the kingdom of heaven: but whosoever shall do and teach them, the same shall be called great in the kingdom of heaven. For I say unto you, That except your righteousness shall exceed the righteousness of the scribes and Pharisees, ye shall in no case enter into the kingdom of heaven.
Ezekial 18:4
Behold, all souls are mine; as the soul of the father, so also the soul of the son is mine: the soul that sinneth, it shall die.
God must seperate and punish unrighteous beings:
Isaiah 59:2
But your iniquities have separated between you and your God, and your sins have hid his face from you, that he will not hear.
Habakkuk 1:13a
Thou art of purer eyes than to behold evil, and canst not look on iniquity:
Matthew 25:46
And these shall go away into everlasting punishment: but the righteous into life eternal.
Therefore we learn, God's very nature requires the law of sin and death.
